Happy thanksgiving!

We had a great trip home to Tucson for thanksgiving. We got to spend some quality time with almost all of the family- most importantly cousin Harry and great-grandma Bess. Somehow I have virtually zero pictures of our week home except these from when Lena met her aunt Nancy. She loved playing with her music recording toys!






We drove home and brought the dogs with us-thanks again grandma and big poppy for babysitting those maniacs!

We learned an important lesson on this trip. Don't drive somewhere overnight if your child doesn't sleep in the car...she's not going to start that night! On the way home to California we decided to break it up and stop for the night in San Diego. I love la Quinta inn-I'm not sure I would be as welcoming to the five of us (both dogs) and an Italian take out dinner...but they were wonderful and had a good breakfast!

Before we left Tucson we spent the morning with grandma and big poppy wearing Lena out at the zoo. I didn't remember how great the Tucson zoo is-Lena loved it. And we all especially loved that for $2 you can feed carrots to the giraffes! It was amazing to be so close to them that they were licking our fingers!















By the way, Lena feeds/teases the dogs even while traveling...
