Home Sweet Home

We're so happy to be back home! Hopefully our adventures are over for a while--we're exhausted! We've been home a week and it's taken me this long to get a blog post together-- I'm not nearly as productive as my husband...within two hours of pulling into our driveway the car was unloaded and our front yard was weed free--it looked as if we'd never left! The next morning he started on the backyard...

We have grass! It's been raining ever since Cam put the sod down. Good for the grass but no fun for us. Although Lena lives her raincoat and boots from Gam and Aya!

While we were away, Lena got really good at her ABCs, pretty good at counting to 12, and starting talking in phrases and sentences.

Now that we are back in the real world, every morning when I get her out of her crib she asks me, "where dada go?".

Ever since she got her hair cut she's been calling me mommy instead of mama--we can't get over how grown up she is...

In other big news, the Radons gave up the pacifiers this week! (yes plural-at nap and bed time Lena had to have TWO pacifiers in her possession or sleeping was out of the question). I had been dreading this day for months but it's actually gone really well. Lena seems to understand and accept the fact that the pacifiers are now only for her baby brother and that she is a big girl and doesn't need them...let's just hope she doesn't hold it against him when he finally arrives!

Giving up the crib in Alabama didn't go too well so Lena is back in the crib for now. As cute as she is in her sleep, not waking up five times a night after she snuck in our bed means we're all getting more sleep! Even shakira gets to sleep through the night now that she and stuey are being locked in separate crates--he has been a little too happy to be reunited and is driving us all a little nuts...

It's so good to be home!
