We were released from the hospital after just 24 hours and we made it home just in time for Lena's bedtime. She was excited for Jack to watch her bath and read books with her before bed. We went through a phase where Lena insisted on reading Us Weekly cover to cover before bed (and only the one with Kim and Kanye) but luckily that seems to have passed.
The hospital was amazing and the whole labor was much easier and faster than I thought possible. The doctor was about to leave for a bit, I asked her to check me again and half an hour later it was all over and Jack was fast asleep on my chest. He was not as eager as Lena was when she was born to inspect me and Cam-- he could not be bothered to open both eyes at the same time for hours and hours. Hopefully he'll keep that laid back attitude for awhile!
